About Switch
Founded in 2005 by IT Business entrepreneurs Deb Noller and John Darlington, Switch brings together more than 30 years of combined experience in successful start ups, senior consulting work and development projects.
Deb and John's first business was Crater Software in the 1990's, which won contracts to develop logistics and planning solutions for some of the world's largest international mining companies.
This grew from a start-up into a 38-person company with global reach, and successfully exited the market in 1996.
By the end of the decade, Deb and John turned their attention to home automation, where the convergence of technologies and rapid growth in broadband take-up were opening up exciting new possibilities for truly intelligent homes and buildings.
Switch Automation brought together their experience in business start-up and development, finance, marketing and operations with their passion for new and innovative technologies and products. Today, they lead a high skilled technical team with a proven track record in delivering for a range of high profile properties across Australasia.
True to their entrepreneurial sprit, Deb and John continue to put innovation and creativity at the heart of Switch's work. Together, they pioneered the use of energy management technology in homes to reduce power consumption and energy bills. They were also the first automation company to announce an entirely cloud-based, on-demand platform, bringing cost effective and future-proof home automation services to the mainstream market.
