See Us For Free At Green Cities!
Green Cities is the number one green building event in Australia, also the largest green building convention in the Asia-Pacific. This year the trade show and conference, co-hosted by the Australian Property Council and the Green Building Council of Australia, is being held in Sydney and for the first time ever, you can visit the trade floor of Green Cities for FREE - if you pre-register.
Switch has a stand in the middle of the trade floor and we will be launching our new Switch Smart Hub - see full story below.

Switch Smart Hub
The Switch Smart Hub, to be launched at Green Cities on the 5th March is a web based interface to your smart home or building. The Switch Smart Hub will release a range of reporting tools to analyse the green data for portfolio, sustainability and building managers. These reports will track building performance, calculate carbon savings through renewable energy generation and compare across-portfolio energy consumption.
In the coming months expect to see the following features to be added into the Switch Smart Hub
- Switch Check-up - Building System Health
- Switch Smart Data - Building Data
- Switch Green Rating - Energy Savings Dashboard
- Switch Smart Portfolio - Portfolio comparison tool
- Switch Community
For the past two years our developers have worked tirelessly on perfecting the transformation of Switch from a tradtiional embedded processor model to a cloud based platform that can deliver building and home automation, energy management and rapid deployment. This effort was driven by our twin-beliefs that the cloud holds the future in technology for smart buildings and the requirement to save energy will drive more and more businesses to seek out building intelligence that can help them achieve that goal.
Switch Progress Report
A whole lot has happened here at Switch since our December newsletter when we announced the stunning news that we had been awarded $2M funding from the Australian Government.
This funding has been put to good use. We have hired a full time channel development manager, a technical sales engineer, a business development manager and a development project manager. We are still on the look-out for some high-level sales staff.
We have deployed a range of projects into our new cloud platform including two apartment buildings, several commercial, industrial and educational facilities as well as a large number of residential projects. We are currently developing the case study and technical documentation to partner these projects.
Distributech - Texas Jan 2012
Many thanks, once again to the kind folks at Intel who kindly hosted Switch at the Distributech Trade Show in San Antonio last month. This trade show had more than 8000 attendees from all over the world who came to investigate, learn and share everything there is to know about Smart Grid and Smart Utilities.
