The primary responsibility of the OEM Solutions Manager is to develop opportunities for revenue growth, working with the sales and marketing team in close collaboration with the engineering team. If you’re looking for an innovative company that wants to make buildings smarter and healthier with a cloud-based operations infrastructure, this role is for you. You’ll work with a dedicated team of professionals from all around the world, from developers, to marketers, engineers and data scientists.

Areas of responsibility

  • Cultivate and develop relationships with manufacturers of energy and building system equipment and critical care equipment including HVAC, controls, IAQ, low voltage systems, sensors, meters etc.
  • Develop and communicate a specific solution to innovate OEM equipment with open, cloud-based technology
  • Actively drive the sales process from introductory calls and meetings through to post-sales (customer satisfaction, upselling and new equipment)
  • Develop the competencies to make persuasive presentations, including demonstrations to prospective OEM customers
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Switch software and our suite of products
  • Increase your network and our brand recognition by attending industry events and actively participating in relevant associations


  • Ability to identify customer pain points, key customer needs and constructing a solution to meet customer requirements
  • Experience in commercial and industrial building equipment
  • At least 2 years of experience in a previous business development or sales role
  • Proficient with time management skills to prioritize deal creation, meaningful meetings and progressing the lead through the sales process
  • Work effectively with marketing, engineering and other colleagues to grow the business
  • Must be creative, persistent and organized to drive the pipeline via personal outreach, using personal networks, research and mining of Switch resources such as CRM and inbound leads
  • Proficiency in various software tools including Microsoft Office, CRM tools
  • Enthusiastic about ongoing training to refine skills
  • Must be able to grasp new and complicated technical information
  • Ability to work independently

  • Keen interest in IoT, smart buildings/cities and sustainability in buildings


Key Performance Metrics

  • Consistently meet or exceed sales revenue quota
  • Utilize CRM to track and maintain the pipeline and accurately forecast
